Coffee Addicted?

Hello!!... to you "Coffee" drinkers! Addicted?? Finding a person who is addicted to coffee is rare in the past, but adults are getting more accustomed to the lifestyle of latte's and cappaccino's in the morning. And if you are even more serious about your "Coffee Talk", some go straight black "Americano" style. Recently, I've been noted on my health for having a lack of water, in my yearly medical testing at work, because I am so addicted to coffee. People who tend to drink coffee in the "sugar zone stores" mounted with crashes, rather than the people who just "did" coffee in moderation and at special occasions. Because if you are a serious drinker, you tend to go to Starbucks or Seattle's Best with a special high calorie, and high sugar intake preference, which leads to a "pagod" feeling in your health at times or even to you getting sick during rainy season, esp. in humid countries like the Philippines. Let's note to you high-sugar drinkers now, if you are a Starbucks fanatic (lover of latte's) that water is a must. For every one cup of coffee, you nearly need two to four cups of water. If you can not truly give up coffee, let's talk about the techniques or other routes you can take, to help elevate your health, even the while.

Coffee, but Also Antioxidants.

Berries are loaded with antioxidants. They are expensive, but hey, you asked for it. You can take any type of berry ranging from blackberries, raspberries, blueberries and even the juice route of cranberry reserves. Note here, that even if you don't like eating fruits, cranberry juice is so delicious and actually the cheaper choice out of all of these and the most fulfilling. Cranberry juice actually reduces fine lines and wrinkles that came from too much stress and lack of sleep at work. It gives life to your eyes. It is good for regulating your period and blood flow, and in turn you will be left with a glow in your cheeks as if you just got a deep skin facial. No need for "Myra" vitamins here. However, eating the above listed, real fruit berries at times, is also a good choice, because there are no preservatives or processes, so much, as in a drink. But drinks can handle!

You can also get a load of antioxidants by making a home-made mocha, out of natural cocoa powder. Skip the sugar, and add a teaspoon to your coffee. It adds flavor and also gives you energy, but without the loaded sugars from a coffee outlet.

Coffee, but Iced.

Actually making your own coffee, without the heavy syrups and creams, along with the milk from coffee store outlets and "restaurants", is a much safer route health-wise. If you are so addicted to latte's they can cause weight gain. Moderation is key. And you can watch your sugar and caffeine intake much easily when you prepare your own coffee bought from the grocery. If it is iced, the ice melts and balances the acidity and PH in your stomach much better, which is much healthier for your kidneys and reproductive tract, in all opinion. Coffee with ice, is as said, less concentrated, and you can even try it with a special treat like a light spoonful of condensed milk, Thai Vietnamese style. (Take note of the average Thai woman's weight and waste line. They like to moderate their foods in a special technique as to make it delicious yet more health conscious. Plus liquid, is always better than powder, because it is derived right from the source of milk.)

Coffee with Cinnamon.

Coffee with Cinnamon is actually good for those with diet trying to curb cravings, or even those with diabetes watching their sugar intake. Cinnamon is said to lower blood glucose and cholesterol in diabetics. It reduces hunger also, by stabilizing insulin levels. It is also a perfect flavor and spice to your coffee, kase what goes better with an already caffeinated drink, than a "perk" of a teaspoon of cinnamon in the morning??? It is a perfect alternative to sugar.

Oatmeal with Coffee.

Want a total "down the road" straight to the best alternative solution to coffee. Instead of the drink, if you are hungry, try making oatmeal with some sugar, powdered creamer (powder this time, because it is a solid, and less heavy on the body), and then coffee! Yay! You just need a teaspoon of each. And you can make sure the sugar is brown, in this case, as I have forgotten to mention, at the beginning of this blog, as brown sugar is always better than white. And note, that oatmeal has health benefits for those watching their cholesterol and weight. It is a win, win situation, because you can then save that room of fluids in your stomach and whole bodily system for an intake of more water.

Coffee with Moderation... sorry, but needed to say, at the least.

To wrap it up, moderation is always key. My great grandma lived until age 102, and my Dad asked her, "What is the key to your long living?" She said, "Too much of anything isn't good for you." Moderation is always best in everything, not just food, to point out, whether we love it or not. According to online sources, for a 176 pound person they are allowed two cups of coffee per day. Well, the average Filipino woman, is 105 pounds to 145 pounds at most. That means one cup for you ladies! Sorry, we just need to watch out.
