Misconceptions of the Minimalist Lifestyle Broken Down For You.

When we hear the new lifestyle of minimalism, it is catching on quite easily to this generation. People these days are so into spending more and more money, and having more and more of what they always wanted, to the point that we created a term for those who slow down. Working endlessly is thought of people now. Chasing this never ending dream of having all the things they wanted ever since a child leading to where they forget to sit down and let things sink in for a while of what they really should be admiring at that given time. Sometimes they even forget to admire what they accomplished so far in life. There is a new definition to the minimalist view coming these years, and it isn't about politics or the government on that note. Now, we are showing a new view to the lifestyle of an individual. There is a very, straight to the point, definition, for this new thought to the word, "minimalism", that is found directly when searched in the google drop box.

Why is dropping less, something people are chasing after? It is becoming a true sought after way of living. People want less stress, and to slow down. With that, this also means spending less money. And not paying attention to things that we may not need. Society is fast paced these days, and some people know what is really important. For example, your family, or your physical health. Busy lifestyles also lead to a stressed out diet and sleeping habits. Minimalism is good for the health, and good for the heart, emotionally.
How can we then apply this term of minimalism to shopping, eating out, our work, our social life and our home? It is easy. That is if you have freed yourself from the lifestyle of accomplishments "needed" so far in your life time. I am all for minimalism, but it doesn't mean also that you shouldn't have a "aim big, or go home" mentality at times, especially in your early twenties, or in your dreams too.
Here, I will talk about how a woman can live a life that feels full, and yet fulfilling in success, with a smart technique in expenditures and way of looking at experiences, such as social situations and important decision makings. Minimalism is smart. It should be a way of life, but in a balanced tone to your living. And some misconceptions should be brought to light about this topic for women. We don't want to see you lying in a cabin in the middle of no where in a far off part of the country, living on food from the land and having no ambitions, whatsoever. This world still has a lot to offer. And that is not what I mean by choosing to take on minimalism, here.
Choices to take for Minimalism should be seen in these categories: city life, chasing dreams, being busy (but not too busy), expenditures (bills), social life, working at a pace, shopping on a budget, and eating habits.
City Life: I literally said "City" life here, because I wanted to make a point. I also listed it first on purpose too. Some few people commonly mistake minimalism as great for living in a far away place, away from all the noise and stress of a city, and living off of very little. Yes, it works for some people, as it may help them take a break from life, for a while. But hey, as young women, you need to be experiencing your life. The time to rest is after retirement. And the ages from 20 to 40 is where you have the world at your feet, with a lot of opportunity. If you let that go, for a life in the, let's say, wilderness, you also said goodbye to future needed bosses or people who will potentially hand you the money you need in your near future. You let go of the life needed to experience of what you deserve, and the life that is mentally and physically healthy for you. When a boss looks at your resume, they want to see that you were busy with your life, in at least some manner, and you had ambition. The more ambition, the better. It means that you are healthy, if you are working, and that you have a good mental health too. Your brain will deteriorate in a cabin or excluded home, which is a total unhealthy manner of living. So don't make the mistake of going too far fetched into the idea or drama of the notion, minimalism, when you hear the word. As I repeat, age 20 to 40, is when you have all the opportunities at your feet. Don't throw it. There are experiences, that only, you, can experience, at that certain age gap, that, you, haven't yet experienced growing up as a late teen. High school is just the beginning. Education and working is a big adventure. Don't drop it, and go in a lazy zone and throw away your world.
Chasing Dreams: Now I said that minimalism is a great idea, at the beginning of this blog, but also chasing your dreams shouldn't be forgotten in the mean time of this common notion too. In a minimalist idea, some people try to live off little, and not aim high in their life, in a venture to admire the quiet. This is a mistake. Chasing your dreams is actually the most fulfilling momentum and experience, you could be taking on, during this life time. The fact that you are working at something, you always wanted, gives you a deep satisfaction of accomplishment, and adds to you self esteem. The constant of trying to prove yourself adds to your meaning as an individual, that no look at a certain "picture" or "photo" of nature could fulfill. You can admire the quiet and the ease of looking at the beauty of the world, but in its given time.
And the next factor, of experiencing your achievement, once your dream is fulfilled, is something else. Going to college, these days, is starting to be forgotten by some people, in the new minimalist view. But actually college is a great fulfillment, even if you wanted to take success in another route and could possibly succeed in another way. Learning is growing. Growing is fun. It is a proof of self achievement needed. Remember that. Even if you go to college for something, you won't necessarily be taking as your full time career, it is great. Just the fact, that you are experiencing a different point of view, or seeing a whole different life style from that certain field of career, by that certain course, it grows you and fulfills you. If you don't feel that certain fulfillment, during the hard of it, you will afterwards. And you can take many courses, not just in classes, but certain programs, that some companies or establishments serve as their sideline activities. When you feed your brain more and more, every now and then, with your new hobbies or plans of making money through your gifts and talents, you also feed your aura daily and motivation to daily life hardships, for that fact. You have an inspiration in life. And a back bone, say when an accident happens in the family, or something unfortunate happens in your life. For example, if your permanent, childhood best friend passes away, you are not left in an emotional pit hole, like you would, if you were just sitting at home always. Your mind needs to be healthy. Exercise it, so it always is.
Now, before you go off on the idea that I am not really uplifting minimalism in this blog so far, and it seems like I am fighting back at some points of the minimalist lifestyle. Well, I am fighting back, but there is a certain gist to minimalism that I love, which is why I wrote this blog. Minimalism should be seen in a healthy manner. It should be seen as not spending money on what you do NOT need, and not putting too much emphasis on things that are not needed.
What are the things that do not need emphasis? Extra bills on things we don't need. Like an electricity bill. Save electricity. Turn on your fan, instead of the air con. Shut off the lights in your bedroom or bathroom when you are not inside. Save the water bills too. Don't leave water running in your sink, while you are brushing your teeth. Just as little as that. Just wet your tooth brush before and after brushing your teeth. Little things like that. Less bills, less stress, and less chasing after more and more money in your career, than what isn't necessary. Little things add up, if you watch closely. Live smart, even if you have a high paying job.
Also, don't buy a car just because your friends have a car, sometimes. Only buy it, if you live very far from work. Buy a bike. The little things. Spend money on what needs to be spent on and don't spend money on more and more "garbage". Like buying a big house. Do you really need a "big" house? Those are just certain examples.
Plus, being earth friendly, is another idea, that sways or comes along with minimalism, which should be supported. The less you use, the more better you are to nature and the animals and this planet, which also mean you in return, because you live in it. You help the earth, when you use less. For example, metal straws instead of plastic. Don't consume too much that you forget the factor of just the small but influencing significance you lead as an individual in the impact you are putting on the government in your country. The governments' purpose is to work for its people, which is you. What ever the people do, leads to what the government will take action in action in return, because they are taking care of you. Be a small difference and make a change.
Working at a Pace: Now, I mentioned that chasing your dreams is a very must in this world nowadays. Actually it always was, ever since. Even from the time of Adam and Eve. Everyone has a fire burning inside, or they wouldn't be living. Now, I will talk about, working at a pace. Yes, being busy, is being healthy, on the mind, and at times also to the physical health, of your fitness, pero there is a fine drawn line in this sense. Work at a pace. Don't drain yourself out. That is just what it means. Simply said. When I thought of writing this blog, I thought, "Why do people chase after minimalism and why is it so in style now?". That was my first thought. It is because people don't want stress. This life is so busy sometimes that we get stressed out. Learn how to unwind, so you don't enter into a big period of burn out where you cannot work or be productive anymore. Work at a pace. If that means taking vacations, take vacations. That is the purpose of having a granted leave from your work. If you need to spend time with family, or a certain special person, not just a boyfriend or your husband, but someone who really relieves you from stress, whether from their laughter or silly jokes, or mild tone of ease in character, go with them on the weekends. Whatever it is, do it. Sometimes it is a quiet hobby or book. Sometimes it is just, straight to the point, of getting a massage, facial or going to a spa. We need things that, both, make us happy, and at the same time, give us a "breather".
When entering the idea of minimalism, work at a pace. Set time for breaks during the day, and during the week. Make the time for the things you love in between, also, because those things are the things that motivate us in our work and job. They energize us, because they energize us in our life.
There are times to set big goals, and go after them, too. And there are also, times to set little goals and take an ease at life. Pero all the while you should always be "productive". And have a balanced way of living and lifestyle.
Shopping on a Budget:
Yay! Now time for the reason I actually wrote this blog. The reason, why, I wanted to write this blog, was simply because I wanted to point out the fact of expenditures and shopping! Because that is the main change we should see when it comes to viewing your life as a new "minimalist", as a woman. Shopping is fun, that is when you have the money. You can not spend money on shopping for fashion always. You need to be responsible at a young age and start to make a savings account. And make a plan. Plan out your future! Not in your love life, because that is unpredictable, but in taking care of you. You need to have a separate savings account, just for you, set aside from your sister, or whether your husband, or your parents. You need extra money set aside for any future emergencies or "emergencies", as a girl.
Don't make an account specifically planned out that has joint custody with your husband, always, even though you are married. That is if you are married. If you have a boyfriend too. You guys should plan everything out together, but not exactly everything. You are still a woman who needs to have her own strength and dignity, in this manner. Don't plan anyone along in your expenditures this time, unless you have kids. Because being a mother is a whole different story, on that note. Make a different savings account just for you. What if someday you break up with your husband? People change. What if someday something happens to you and you don't have the money to pay for an emergency. The unimaginable, that you wouldn't believe to happen to you, sometimes happens.
So, save an account just for you, and for the needs of your mother and father, in giving back to them all they did to you, when you were growing up. I'm sure your husband or boyfriend would do the same. If there comes time when your parents are ill, or need a special spoil of emotional treatment to feel of value to you, then you are obligated to do your return of action. When you get older and your parents are in an unfortunate state, you will look back always at all you did for them, and be happy. Do not be the person, who wakes up one day, wishing you could have done things differently. And by the way on this final note of parents, never, put them in a nursing home. It is the saddest choice of action to a decision ever. It is like throwing your dog away in for adoption.
And because you did your part, while you have a future plan and savings set for you and your loved ones, take the extra and splurge some on yourself. You need a manner or reward for your hard work. The younger generation is buying things they always do not necessarily need, and then having no money for the things they should be spending their money on. Then they have a complain, as to, where is the money? Have a plan to your life. If you aren't making enough, then that is the time to work your ass off and make a plan to your life! We are not always in an unfortunate state. There are many actors and actresses or singers for that fact, who started off with nothing. As in nothing. Actually most of them started out with no money at all and more broke than minimum wage could offer.
And here is a key note to leave you off with... when it comes to shopping, "If you don't absolutely have to have it, don't get it." If the jeans are not perfect and everything you wanted, don't get it. If there is just a little thing you like about it, like the bottom flare at the ends near the ankles, or if you only like the color, then don't get it. You should love EVERYTHING about it, then you should buy it. But, that is, only if you have the extra money, after, you set aside for your savings and future, and, after, you bought the things you really NEEDED and were NECESSARY.
Eating Habits: To finalize this article/blog, we shall talk about the most interesting. Your eating habits. Your eating habits are impacted in the way you think, the way you feel, and the way you live. If you want a good diet, then have a healthy mind. People are always overeating, addicted to a certain drink or special treat, or eating unhealthy foods, because of some mentality stuck in their mind to a certain impact in their life. The way we live our life or think, reflects on our eating habits. If we are always busy then we tend to eat more, because we need more energy, which is fine, because our work is of the important. And also on another note, if we are always bored, some tend to eat, to satisfy a "hole" in their life. Therefore, get your life on track, and your health for that matter. Your diet says a lot about you and how you care to yourself. Don't let yourself down. Always drink water and eat natural foods as much as possible, with only caving into your cravings during breakfast where you need a lot of energy for the day. Don't over eat as much as possible, only if you need the extra energy. Watch your diet. And keep active mentally and physically. That means getting out of the house, if you are a stay at home mom or going out if you are always at home doing your online businesses, even.
Plus, eat on time, please! That is the same manner or gist, I have established with working at a pace. You should also do good to yourself, and eat at a pace, when your body needs it, so you can manage your diet. You can not function without food and nutrients going to your brain, and especially water, every two to three hours. If you are very busy, sugary drinks are not always a "bad" threat. But please only drink sugary drinks or eat fast food, when needed. Like in the morning, or when you just had a business trip, and you need the energy. Try to stay to healthy foods as much as possible and eat in moderation. And stick to the notion of the fact that too much of anything ain't good for you, unless it has more necessary nutrients than some other foods you consume.
To wrap up, how do I live the minimalist life then? Just don't think about the things that could stress you out. And spend less, but live more. By living more, we mean take time with your loved ones, and also take time to grow upon yourself in being productive, and chasing after your goals in life. To be straight to the point, don't come to the point in your life where you are not being productive. That is a misconception of being a minimalist. You can have and you do need time to yourself, but that is spent every now and then, not for years, unless you went through an emotional state of trauma or need a special healing.
Minimalism is so common in the big cities now, because of the dreams of many young adults without the money to support those dreams, coming to these places, or people already living there and living off what their parents couldn't afford, out of the strive for independence, especially in New York. So if you want to tag along in this idea, of saving money and less stress to your lifestyle, it is a smart choice, even if you aren't struggling. Especially if you like challenging yourself, like the young adults who try this. To learn more about minimalism, read books you can order online. It is a simple lifestyle, and easy to catch on. You just have to get the gist of it and momentum, and have the heart, then it just comes naturally.
